What is Sports Engine?

SportsEngine is a popular sports management platform used by youth and amateur organizations to handle registrations, rosters, scheduling, communication, and billing. It’s especially common in cheerleading, gymnastics, soccer, hockey, and other club sports because it centralizes a lot of administrative work that used to be done manually.
Here’s why the Panhandle Hurricanes use SportsEngine for automatic billing:
1. Streamlined Registration & Payments

• Families can register for classes online in one place.
• Automatic billing lets the gym set up tuition or competition fees as a payment plan — Tuition the first of the month and comp fees the 15th of the month. Payments are charged automatically to the card or bank account families put on file.
• NOTE: Please ensure card on file is up to date and have sufficient funding to cover charges. Our staff spends too much time tracking down payments even though automatic payments are setup.
  

2. Reduced Administrative Burden

• Staff don’t have to track who’s paid or chase down invoices each month.
• The system generates reports, sends reminders, and logs every payment, saving a lot of bookkeeping time.

3. Secure Transactions

• SportsEngine uses encrypted payment processing, so families’ banking info stays secure.
• Automated receipts are sent out, which helps with recordkeeping for both the gym and parents.

• Mass email is built in we don’t need a separate mailing service, and messages go straight to every account holder connected to an athlete.
